Walkers dream, Large allotments in volcanic soil with springs

Note this is a very rural property and would suit those not needing to commute for work.
On an 80 acre property with many flat but elevated areas available to choose from, away from others or closer to the main house if you prefer. Situated 13.5kms up the Wekaweka valley, this property backs on to Waima forest and looks across the valley at Waipua Forest. A 25min drive from Tane Mahuta and only 1.3kms to the start of DOC tracks, including to a hut and to an old coach track.
30mins to beaches and a clean river coming from the forest not far from the property that has swimming holes.

There are about 3 small streams that can be utilised for water. Compost toilets and greywater can be used on the land in consultation with the owner.

The new owner seeks people that are wanting to work with nature, be fairly self-sustainable and not exploiting animals. Rescued chickens are allowed. Any dogs and cats need to be strictly confined due to the native birdlife and kiwi in the immediate area. Pockets of native bush exist on the property and will be being regenerated. Once decided upon, your area would need to be made suitable for the removable house.

Short-term to long-term leases are available. $50 for parking only and negotiable if you want land for garden or animals, or join in with the communal gardening activity. Use of cooking, bathroom and internet can be negotiated. Power and water could be sorted at your own costs to your chosen site.

Building, gardening, planting and working on owners' projects towards rent would be fine for part rent, as suitably negotiated to suit both parties.
