Hi everyone! A little bit about us and what we do on our special speck of earth here in Oropi!
We have the large farmhouse, powered workshop, implement sheds, outbuildings, native bush block, chickens, goats and a long established home orchard with an extensive variety of over 100 fruit trees.
The property is on-the-way to future organic certification.. being above the avo/kiwifruit growing belt means we are also above the hort/ag spray-line too.
There are rain water tanks, spare headers and irrigation pipes with potential to run lines if required but no power access in the paddocks.
Shopping centres at Tauriko or Greerton are 15mins away (Mt Maunganui and Rotorua are 30mins) and our lovely new local Oropi Hall is a hub for activities and social gatherings.
Currently we are 7 permanent residents (all work f/t off-site) who enjoy the social aspect of living in a community while also having their own space and privacy.
We have also just started welcoming the international helpers back, yay!
With an abundance of natural and human resources on this lovely mixed block, a park-up is more than a piece of grass in a paddock!
We are always keen to add more skills within our co-operative to benefit all and everyone here is happy to help out and chip in where its needed.

*Lease length is negotiable from 3mths. Rent is set by each tenant and varies depending on number of tenants, lease length, land requirements and option to access available resources etc… (ie. what this opportunity is worth to you and how much you value the peace, privacy, comfort and security).

We also have another large workshop space and sleepout (own meter) coming up for short or long lease. It could be ideal for someone building, finishing or re-modelling their mobile home. In the distant past it was fitted out and used as worker accommodation so we have just re-lined it and insulated it as lounge/working/amenities areas, though own self-contained TH/camper/bus etc might be preferable. Rent is negotiable depending on requirements and lease length.
