Site Foundation

We have developed three sites which two are occupied and one is now available for a new family. We also have another site under development for a new family that are coming soon. For new Sites we are requiring people to make the investment to set up the site for themselves. In return, we will subsidy the amount from the weekly contribution till the site has been fully paid back. Each site will require Earth works with digger, truck for rock for driveway, soak lines and spring water connection. All sites are quite close to the main driveway which will lower the costs of making access. We have experience and connections to make this set up process easy and stress free. There are a few sites available to choose from which are all north facing and surrounded by forest. The sites are private and also close enough to have good connections with rest of the community.

Driveway Foundation

Main driveway is well maintained gravel road. It is mainly flat except one steep part coming down to the property. The road leading to Hakea is also gravel for 1km off from main road which is tar sealed.

Details

Hakea is a Permaculture Retreat situated in Pakoka Scenic Reserve looking over beautiful Aotea Harbour in Rural Raglan. We are off grid and living off the land at best. We currently have four family enjoying living on the land. We are looking for someone that has good values and would like to have piece of land to grow food and enjoy the tranquility and the beauty of the Scenic reserve. There is access to explore the bush and the Harbour, great opportunity for those interested in hunting and fishing. Our values based on Kaitiakitanga (care for all living systems), whanaungatanga (care for the self, kin and the community) and manaakitanga (respectful caring and protection of others). Successful canditate should have their full set up tiny home as we only offer water connection and the land area. Hakea community areas are also in walking distance as well as walking tracks. Hakea is located 20 minutes to Raglan and 45 minutes to Hamilton. If you are seeking a lifestyle full of deep connections with the land and others where you can grow food, live simply, share abundance and be part of a supportive and inspiring group, this is what we are striving to create. Thank you for reading. Team Hakea
