A little bit about me… I am a guy in his mid-sixties, just looking to live a quiet life surrounded by nature rather than people. I am not looking to live off grid, or to be self-sustaining, I do my shopping at the supermarket. I am pretty much retired and spend most days volunteering at a local dog rescue. I am not super-eco focused but I am environmentally aware and would treat the land I occupy with respect. I do have an elderly whippet and I plan to get another dog in near future which will either be a whippet or a greyhound, [so I will own two dogs]. They are a placid non barking breed and would be stock friendly. I am happy to discuss either a deposit or payments to hold the right piece of land until my home is ready. I am having a 60ft square portable home built by a local company here in Christchurch with a completion date approx early April at this stage. I am looking for a bit of rural or semi-rural land on which to locate my tiny home somewhere in the northern part of the city but with good access to the city. Areas I would be interested in are Marshlands, Styx, Ourunia, Chaneys, Spencerville, Clarkville and perhaps Belfast. Would also consider parts of Ohoka nearer to the motorway. I am looking for land with a rural or natural outlook with a very good degree of separation from any other properties/business facilities or busy roads. Access would need to be reasonable as my tiny home would be delivered to site on a truck and at least water and power need to be easy to connect. Rent wise looking at a max of $200 pw ideally a bit less.
