About me: I’m a professional community development practitioner with a Masters degree. I work mostly from home as a consultant. I'm vegan first for the animals then environment and health reasons. I have a 6 year old cat. I am in a committed relationship with a partner--we spend time at each others homes. I have 2 young adult children who visit occasionally for a few days. I am a member of a Playback Theatre troupe and a Non-Violent Communication practice group I'm healthy, fit, and a non-smoker and non-drinker. I created a thriving, abundant, off-grid homestead in South Africa with permaculture design where I lived for 9 years I've been living at Riverside Community in my tiny home leasing land. They only give a 3 year lease max which expires mid-April 2026 so I have to be relocated by then. My ideal land-living situation: My long term vision for my home is to create a tiny ecovillage or neighbourhood (not necessarily on same land) To be within Nelson or a 15 minute drive to Nelson Secure land and lease (no consent challenges to move me on) Affordable and minimum 3 year lease Great neighbours, sense of community & collaboration Can hook up to potable water &electricity Can accommodate a low-tech grey water system. I have a Clivus Multrum approved compost toilet system. I have a deck, roof over deck, and small shed and food garden beds around my home Not in or near a paddock with animals that will be slaughtered or milked Nice views
