My husband and I are professionals who are semi-retired, and we’re relocating from Nelson to Canterbury to begin the next chapter of our lives. We have a brand-new, single-storey 12m x 4m tiny home which will be our permanent home, and we’re looking for the right piece of land to site it. We’re ideally looking for a long-term lease of 2+ years, with a preference for Christchurch, Waimakariri and North Canterbury, including areas such as Oxford, Rangiora, Cust, West Eyreton, Loburn, Kaiapoi and surrounding rural areas. What we’re looking for 🌿 Approximately 600–900sqm, although we’re flexible for the right property 🏡 A peaceful setting where our tiny home can become our home 💧 Water access 🔌 Power access or the ability to arrange a connection 🚐 Space for our motorhome 🚗 Good vehicle access 🐾 Pet-friendly We have two much-loved, well-behaved dogs — a standard poodle and a small labradoodle — who will be coming with us. We are quiet, responsible, tidy and respectful, and would treat the land as if it were our own. We’re not looking for a temporary holiday site or somewhere simply to park a tiny house — we are relocating to Canterbury and want to establish a genuine home and longer-term base. We enjoy the outdoors, travelling and a relaxed lifestyle, and we’re happy living simply. We also have our motorhome, which means we may occasionally travel away, but the tiny home will remain our home. We’re open to different types of land and would be very happy to discuss a suitable arrangement with the right landowner. Our ideal outcome is finding a lovely piece of Canterbury where we can settle in, look after the land and enjoy our next chapter. 🌿🏡🐾
